Get up and running in 15 minutes

Follow these steps to deploy your first AI agent from scratch.

1

Add your API keys Admin

Go to Settings โ†’ API Keys and enter your LLM provider key (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc. via BYOK) and your Deepgram key if you plan to use voice agents. Verabase never charges for API usage: you pay providers directly.

2

Create a knowledge base Admin

Navigate to Knowledge โ†’ New Knowledge Base. Give it a name, set visibility (public, internal, or restricted), then add a source: paste a website URL, upload a PDF, or connect Notion / Google Drive.

3

Wait for indexing to complete

Verabase crawls and chunks your content in the background. A green indicator appears once the knowledge base is ready. Large sites (500+ pages) can take a few minutes.

4

Configure an agent Admin

Go to Agents โ†’ New Agent. Set a name, tone of voice, and attach the knowledge base you just created. Optionally add a greeting message and avatar.

5

Deploy to a channel

Under Deploy, copy the web widget snippet and paste it into your website's HTML, or connect a Slack app. Your agent is now live.

Your knowledge base can be shared across multiple agents. A support agent and a sales agent can both draw from the same documentation.
